As an international hospitality professional, Oliver Zahn, Managing Director of Duke Suites, has held various positions in Switzerland, the Netherlands and most recently on Curaçao. Together with his wife Jesse, he put the Baoase Luxury Resort on the international map. His passion for the 5-star level is unsurpassed - personal service and an eye for detail his most important ingredients. Thomy Kleijngeld, Hospitality Manager, gained experience in several 5-star hotels and leading restaurants and was named winner of the National Hennessy Hospitality Award.

Nature conservation
Sustainability is a high priority at the Duke Suites. The Duke Club is involved at provincial level and actively contributes to the sustainability of the nature reserve 'De Hooge Vorssel'. Together with the province, we ensure that the groundwater level of the nature reserve remains at a healthy level. In close cooperation, investments will be made in the future in a sustainable water management plan so that the water supply of the championship golf course is always in harmony with nature.
Regional products
At The Charles restaurant, we work in harmony with the seasons, with respect for the wellbeing of the land, sea and animals, and with as little waste as possible. To this end, much of the food is fermented or freeze-dried. Local suppliers are also preferred at The Charles. All fresh products that are processed come from the region, from up to 250 kilometers away.

Nationalpark de Maasthorst

Heeswijk Castle
Heeswijk Castle, also known as Kasteel Heeswijk, is a historic castle in the province of North Brabant in the Netherlands and has a long history dating back to the 11th century. It is one of the oldest and best-preserved moated castles in the Netherlands. The castle has been extended several times over the centuries and has an imposing architecture with towers, moats and a large courtyard surrounded by an extensive park. You can reach the hotel by car via various highways, for example via the A3 and A73. It is best to use a navigation system so that you can easily reach the hotel from any country or city.
