Head to the trophy room to find a purple square on the floor. Melee attack a zombie here with your bow to reveal an urn from beneath the floor.

You must now find six skulls around the map. Interact with the skulls to collect them. They can be collected in any order. One is located around the broken wall between the Mule Kick Perk-A-Cola machine and the L-Car 9 wallbuy.

One is on the broken wall to the right of the Double Tap Rootbeer Perk-A-Cola machine.

One is located in a toy chest in the living quarters.

One is on a window at the upper courtyard near the VMP wallbuy – this is right next to the door to mission control.

One is in a sink to the right of the teleporter in the undercroft.

One is in the back of a truck on the back-left side of the rocket platform.

Return to the trophy room to find the skulls levitating around the urn. Make several crawlers and herd them to the urn. Listen carefully, a voice will say three out of six words. They will vary from game to game, so pay close attention.

Some zombies will now drop six purple symbols. Collect these symbols to automatically place them below the levitating skulls in the trophy room.

The next objective is to shoot three symbols with your bow in the correct order to say the spirit's name. To find out which symbols you must shoot, go to the area just before the power room to find six suits of armor. Each suit of armor will have an engraved symbol, similar to the word the voice had said earlier, along with the same purple symbols that appeared below the skulls. Memorize which purple symbol relates to the correct engraved symbol. Return to the trophy room and shoot the three correct symbols. If you did this correctly, you will see a reforged arrow. Take this arrow to its corresponding box near the pyramid.

Kill a number of zombies around this forged arrow to charge it with souls. Once the souls stop getting sucked in, take your Wrath of the Ancients bow and interact with the box. A few seconds later, the icon in the top left corner will indicate the quest has been completed. Pick up your bow from the box to use your upgraded bow. If this is your first time upgrading, you will earn an achievement / trophy.

Fire Upgrade

To start the quest for this Wrath of the Ancients upgrade, you must go to the bell tower at the upper courtyard. Shoot the wall with the red symbol painted at the top of the stairs to reveal a clock and the quest item. Pick up the item to bind the quest to your bow.

[[Der Eisendrache|Der Eisendrache]] Main Easter Egg

advertisem*nt

The main Easter Egg for Der Eisendrache is tied to the achievement / trophy M Brother's Keeper. It requires a team of four players to complete. Before starting this lengthy quest, make sure three of the four players have upgraded their Wrath of the Ancients bows. The fourth one can be upgraded during the first step. The Ragnorok DG-4 must also be built and obtained by all players.

Step 1: Prepare the Teleporter

The player with the non-upgraded Wrath of the Ancients must go to the teleporter in the undercroft and shoot the orbs at the end of the electrical rods above the machine until they turn orange.

Several items around the map will now become electrified for a short time. You must shoot these items with your upgraded bows within a time limit. Make sure you shoot them directly or you may have to repeat this step. The objects will be in random order, but they can include:

  • Phone in tram station near Quick Revive
  • Car tire near Double Tap Rootbeer on the cliff side / gate house area
  • Wooden box in Wundersphere / work bench room at the lower courtyard
  • Globe in living quarters
  • Clock in barracks at the upper courtyard
  • Clock in mission control
  • Radio in mission control
  • Phone in the power room

Once this is done, the base of the teleporter will turn purple in the undercroft. Have the entire team take the teleporter, but make sure there are still many zombies left in this round.

Step 2: Obtain and Input the Code

Using the teleporter will take you back to the undercroft, but another man will be in the room at a different point in time. Quickly grab a large, blue cylinder and some small fuses in this room. If you can't find them, press interact (square on PlayStation, X on Xbox) around the room until you pick them up.

Have another player watch the doctor in the room as he inputs a code into the safe. You must memorize the symbols in this code for later on.

When you return to the present, a Panzersoldat will appear alongside the remaining zombies. Kill the Panzersoldat, but keep the other zombies alive. You must complete this step on the same round! If you don't do this step in the same round, you'll have to go back in time to get a new code from the doctor.

Go to the death ray machine at the top of the castle and place the fuses on one side of the console. Walk around to the other side of the console and interact with the lever to switch the option from destroy to protect.

Next, go to the computer near the wunderfizz orb and bell tower or to the one at the rocket platform. Interact with the computer to see several symbols on the screens. These are the same symbols the doctor used on his safe when you went back in time. Interact with the screens in the correct order to input the same code.

Return to the undercroft and look for the same safe to the right of the teleporters. The safe should now be open. Take the two metal rods and a key card / floppy disc looking object. Walk over to the M.P.D. (pyramid) in the undercroft and listen to some dialogue.

Step 3: Bring Down the Pod

Revisit the bastion at the top of the castle. You must now place the metal rods from the safe into the two electrical towers. Look closely at the base of the electric currents for an empty spot where the rod can fit. After both rods are placed, pull the lever on the side of the death ray console to switch it from protect to destroy.

The next step is to play a Simon Says mini-game at the computer near the bell tower. Interact with the console to turn on the screens. Pay attention to the symbols on the four smaller screens. The smaller screens will turn off after a few seconds, and one of those four symbols will appear on the larger screen. Interact with the smaller screen that had the same symbol until the mini game ends. Head to the computer at the rocket platform and play the same mini-game again. If you fail here, you'll have to return to the computer at the top of the castle and restart this mini-game.

A green button will light up at the back of the death ray console. Press it to send a bolt of electricity into the sky. A pod will come crashing down into the upper courtyard. Walk over to the pod and pick up a small, golden rod along the right side. This is also known as the Vril Generator.

Step 4: Summon and Charge the Keeper

At the start of the next round, the same objects from before will become electrified. Shoot them once again to alter the teleporter. Remember, the items are:

  • Phone in tram station near quick revive
  • Car tire near Double Tap Rootbeer on the cliff side / gate house area
  • Wooden box in wundersphere / work bench room in lower courtyard
  • Globe in living quarters
  • Clock in barracks in upper courtyard
  • Clock in mission control
  • Radio in mission control
  • Phone in power room

Take the teleporter back to an earlier version of the undercroft. Interact with the safe box with the keypad straight forward until it opens. Some say you must interact with a book to the right to open the safe box. Grab the stone tablet inside and return to the present.

Head over to the stairway between mission control and the undercroft. This is the same place you grabbed the Wrath of the Ancients bow. Place the Vril Generator (golden rod) into the stone slot at the foot of the tomb. A spectral keeper will fly out.

This keeper will move around the map until it finds a stone tablet similar to the one you had picked up from the safe box. A white circle will appear on the floor in front of the keeper. The more players that stand within the circle, the bigger it will become. The objective here is to kill zombies near or within this circle to collect their souls. However, only one of the four upgraded bows must be used to kill the zombies. Pay attention to the color at the bottom of the screen. The bow that shares the same color must be the one to kill the zombies.

Eventually, the keeper will move to the cliff side gate house near Double Tap Rootbeer. The stone tablet the keeper usually stands in front of will be missing. This is where you place the stone tablet from the teleporter room. Place it within the square slot along the stone wall, directly beneath the lantern. Continue killing zombies until the keeper moves again

Once this step is done and the keeper is charged up, it will move to the undercroft. A short scene will play where the M.P.D. (pyramid) will appear from the moon. You may notice a blue cylinder is missing from one of the corners of the M.P.D. Whoever grabbed the blue cylinder from earlier must place it here to continue on. Remember, this was taken when the teleporter was used to go back in time during the first trip.

Before doing the final part of this step, make sure everyone is prepared for a very tough boss battle. When ready, have everyone use their Ragnarok DG-4. Plant them (use the trap function) on the blue tiles around the pyramid that are used to enable anti-gravity. This will transport everyone to a new area.

Step 5: Boss Battle

A giant Gatekeeper will appear in this area alongside skeletons. The Gatekeeper will use the same sort of attacks that the upgraded bows use: a lightning attack, a magma attack, and a skull attack. Just before the Gatekeeper uses the lightning attack, a small ball of electricity will build near the middle of the arena. Have one player use the Ragnarok DG-4 trap directly at this storm ball. The gatekeeper will become trapped for a short time, and a yellow light will come from its chest. Have the team shoot this yellow light to damage the gatekeeper.

Once the Gatekeeper disappears, have the player who set down the Ragnarok trap quickly pick it back up. Wait until another electrical ball appears to set down another Ragnarok trap. If all four players do not have a charged Ragnarok, stay behind the pillars when the electric ball appears. The Gatekeeper will send out a lightning attack that can down any player with a single hit. Kill the skeletons in the area until the Ragnarok weapons recharge.

As the Gatekeeper becomes weaker, Panzersoldats will appear within the arena. You will also get some max ammos throughout the fight. Later on, Hell Hounds will join the fight alongside skeletons and Panzersoldats. Defeat the Gatekeeper using the same method to return to the undercroft.

You will hear the doctor over the intercom when you return. Once he's done talking, take the Summoning Key from the M.P.D. and place it on the computer at the top of the castle, near the bell tower. A cut scene will play once this is done, and the achievement / trophy will unlock.
